I can't believe its been MONTHS...probably almost a year since my last post but so much as happened since I last felt compelled to make a blogpost...sorry! I'm now pregnant with my 2nd child (At this time last year I had just had a miscarriage and wasn't really feeling like celebrating but this year is so different in so many ways! From being pregnant with a little girl...yes you've read that right...my first daughter (probably my last one since I think pregnant truly takes so much out of my already exhausted system) but I'm beyond excited just to be having a little girl....also I've been working so much on getting Asher into a Non-Public-Funded-School in NYC for kindergarten (its a HUGE PROCESS in NYC) so that's been a headache in and of itself! I finally got his ASD diagnosis last august and we had a neuropsych evaluation done October to December so we are currently working on hopefully getting him a deferral! It feels like a job in and of itself but I truly feel like he would be such a great fit at one of these schools and could really succeed and thrive! I see him changing so much everyday!
Asher's current obsessions are: The 3 little pigs, Goldlilocks and the 3 bears, and Billy Goat Gruff! He can find and follow anything on YouTube and loves the barefoot books (he follows along with them while they read in his books). I'm so proud of how far he's come but his speech needs a big boost which is where having a prompt speech therapist really comes in hand but we currently don't have one (that's why the non-public-funded-schools will be a huge help) and they offer help w/social skills that all children w/special needs could use! Oh yeah he's also very into all things little people, cars, and making food...esp his little pretend kitchen! I'm truly hoping next year I'll be better w/getting online to do blogposts but if you know me I probably won't be...I'll definitely try (at least until April) that's when I'm due! Wishing everyone the happiest of holidays no matter what you celebrate to you and yours! Lets hope that 2022 can be a healthier more vibrant year full of more possibilities! I think my word for 2022 is going to be resilience! What's yours?

So many thoughts come to my mind when I'm writing this from what's occurring today to what's coming next in my life! 2021 is going to be my follow your gut aka intuitive year...I've always been reluctant when it comes to following my gut as that's how I was raised but I'm going to trust more in myself this year...I want to be a role-model to my son and teach him to find his inner self and truly be guided on his journey. I'm also planning on being much more spiritual and allow myself to be more creative through weaving, macrame, needle point, felted animals, etc. Although I have been lacking the consistency for following through on my gratitude journal I will restart that as well. Don't forget I am also being a travel agent now as I want to help people create magical moments with their family as I truly think that is the true focus we all need right now! More FAMILY MAGICAL MOMENTS! I will try to post pictures of my crafts here, travel deals, and more! Now its your turn...what's your word for 2021? Why?
Recovering from 2020 will be tough but I know 2021 will be so much better! I'm going back to focusing on myself with personal development, creativity, and refocusing my passion for travel since travel has always given me so much joy! I'm super proud to announce my new career as a Travel Agent with Platinum Mouse. I will be taking my favorite parts of vacations and helping others create those magical memories that truly mean so much to me! This is why I love traveling so much (and the amazing food)!!!! My main areas will be all things Disney & Cruises (Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, and Disney) helping create magical family memories that'll stay with families for a lifetime & of course helping everyone find the BEST Travel BARGAINS!
Definitely make sure to join my Facebook group What word will you use to ignite your 2021 to new levels? I'm leaning towards intuitive being mine! <3 I will truly trust my gut in 2021! It truly feels like 2020 was the year that wouldn't let...it let me down in every way possible....from finally feeling the sickness that was coming since my son was born...to losing who I was before him...(don't worry 2021 will fix that as I completely figure that out)...to having other health issues and so much more! (I needed a colonoscopy, endoscopy, got diagnosed with SIBO and maltose deficiency... and even had a miscarriage) and I still have ZERO answers... but I know I need to get visible again and get out of hiding so....I'm back!
Having a miscarriage around I have big goals for this year from growing my brand which now includes Usborne books since I kind of got obsessed with them awhile ago...we have 3 bookcases full of books for Asher...and I can honestly whole-heartedly say that it wasn't until we introduced these books that I saw a huge boost in his speech development. If anyone reading this is interested in joining me we have a special until the end of May (yes around my birthday) you can now join me by just paying $30 for the virtual membership...this also gives you $30 in book credit when you have a book party in the first 8 weeks with sales of $100 or more! Plus you save 25% on all books!
Learn more about the company by watching these two videos: Usborne’s background: https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=2KMyOf7QpYg Usborne FAQ’s and basics: https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=r3iQ2F3qUMI I've found earning money to be a pretty big pro for joining Usborne plus like I said earlier I've accumulated a bunch of books...some husbands might disagree ;-) (he'd probably say a boatload) Our current favorites are: I say Ooh You say Aah, Beast Feast, All Better, and This is Frog! Feel free to check out my website for more details here: h9235.myubam.com It's taken me way too long to get back here but I've been meaning to...but with a toddler everything kind of goes on a back-burner!
We were actually out of school even before it was announced at my son's school since he had gotten the flu and given it to me...we found out it was the flu because of getting tested at CITYMD...wish they would have tested also for COVID 19 but they didn't... David works from home and I'm homeschooling my toddler (Asher)...mornings are a mess since we get into our living room for breakfast by 9 and then have school some mornings at 9:30 and others not until 11:30 so I have to make that in-between-time extra meaningful. We do ART projects that consist of learning the alphabet with sensory and art materials plus of course music time...I tried Zumba with Asher but he can't get past his dancing in circles...today we saw my in-laws whom we haven't seen for over 2 months with all the social distancing. So many big goals this year but you'll have to wait until my next post for that...as for now I'm trying to rebuild my brand which will include books, a very sociable toddler, my mom's groups, mom's coaching, and my future plans for my GF DF NYC group! I will hopefully get to blogging once a week! Until the next post stay healthy and safe! It all started about 21 months ago (not exactly but close enough)! This is about the time I had the sunshine most meaningful person ever that came into my life...yes the birth was full of trauma...it was a scheduled c-section because of my fibromyalgia and the epidural didn't end up fully working so I felt most of it...but the end result...I love my son so much!
So fast forward almost 2 years...I'm a stay at home mom to Asher and while it hasn't always been easy its been simply life changing! We moved from NJ to Queens NY (Forest Hills) back in November of 2018 and life has improved dramatically! Back in NJ I couldn't get parents together to do a Mommy and Me class or anything...I simply ran two block parties for the communities...NOW I run a Queens SAHM group and couldn't be happier! Join me on my journey as a SAHM with my amazing husband and son! We will focus from time to time in this blog Asher's Antics which are just hilarious (or super kind) things my son has said/done! He's a little comedian! Another key focus will be Mom & Family events and Weekly Bargains! Right now Asher loves building with Mega Blocks, dancing, playing with Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Fozzy, and everything Super Why! Now if only I could get him to eat more foods like he used to...but that's a whole different story! Talk to you all in two weeks! Don't forget to put Target and Amazon Prime Day down for July 15th and July 16th. |
